A new PR paradigm: Paradigm Public Relations opens in Toronto
TORONTO, ON, August 1, 2007—Paradigm Public Relations Inc., an independent, full-service public relations agency based in Toronto, officially opens its doors today.
The agency’s principals, Tracey Bochner, APR, president and Michael Abbass, vice president, have started Paradigm out of a desire to combine big agency thinking with small agency client service--and a focus on delivering measurable results.
“Paradigm is a fresh, new company with seasoned leadership,” said Tracey Bochner, APR, president. “We have close to 30 years of combined, award winning experience in brand marketing communications, corporate communications, issues management and media relations measurement.”
Bochner and Abbass were most recently on the senior management teams at other public relations agencies, APEX Public Relations and Strategic Objectives respectively. They previously managed communications campaigns for some of Canada’s largest companies and brands including Cadbury, Coca-Cola, Jamieson Laboratories, Kao Brands (Jergens, Biore, John Frieda), Kraft Canada, Molson and others.
Committed to furthering accountability practices in the public relations industry, both Bochner and Abbass are founding members of the Canadian Public Relations Society’s (CPRS) Measurement Committee. This committee created the Media Relations Rating Points system, the new standard for editorial media measurement in Canada. Bochner was recently awarded the CPRS Lamp of Service Award for her role in developing and promoting the MRP system. She was also named the 2004 PR Professional of the Year by CPRS (Toronto).
“Good measurement practice is central to our business,” said Bochner. “We are committed to being accountable—to ensuring the work we do for our clients is consistently measured and evaluated against business objectives.”
